The Help House

The Help House (THH) is a transformational housing program providing up to 30 months of housing and support for women rebuilding their lives after financial setbacks. More than just housing, THH equips women with the resources, education, and guidance needed to restore financial stability, improve credit, and build savings—going beyond short-term assistance to create lasting change.

THH doesn’t merely address surface-level issues; it works to address systemic and personal barriers to financial stability, such as debt, lack of credit, and limited access to education or job opportunities. By tackling these issues at their root, the program creates lasting change for women, empowering them to rise above their past struggles.

Back to the Basics (B2B)

The Back to the Basics (B2B) Program is a pre-apprenticeship mentoring workshop for unemployed and underemployed women. Our workshops offer practical training techniques and mentorship, tailored to build confidence and equip participants with tools for personal and professional success.
By the end of our workshops, women will have developed strong work-readiness habits and will be prepared to be matched with suitable employers or other job training programs.

Program Highlights:

Run It Up!

We empower women to “run up” their credit scores to 700+ by adopting responsible financial habits. More than just a catchy phrase, Run It Up is a motivational mindset—encouraging women to elevate their credit scores, savings, and overall economic empowerment.
We partner with local and national organizations to help participants break free from poor credit and unhealthy financial habits, replacing them with credit-building strategies and financial literacy skills.

HERitage Network

Women who have completed our programs will continue to receive notifications about The HelpKC’s events and, if needed, will have access to case management services to support their ongoing transformation and transition. These services serve as a safety net, promoting stability and reducing the risk of setbacks.
